Advertising at static events
« on: 11 October 2021, 07:11:07 pm »
We seem to have had a couple of Public events this year where we have static displays for the public. Having seen the Bicester pics, and the splendid advertising board that Andy B has produced I wonder if you think there is a need for boards for individual cars, to give details of the builds and inspirational cars. Not sure if A4 is big enough, but it could go up to A3.

I was tooling around with a mock up for my body tub the other day, and put a couple of offcuts together.

I have access to plenty of ply!

If you want I can work on a design that folds flat, and sits under a wheel for stability, let me know if you think it's worth doing and I'll get into production for events next year.

Great idea Peter. All for it  ;D

Definitely gives the public more of an idea what we and our Ckarts are about. Help inspire prospective new builders .

I've done one for mine, but it's not particulrly good, and it's now out of date as we have changed our logo. Nevertheless I think it is a good thing when we are in front of the public. Mine's in MS publisher I think. I'll post a pic in due course.  Perhaps we could develop a format?

Yes I could develop a template of sorts but I hate word!! (its probably best if people want to do their own) - haha only use the professional stuff you know boys  :D but, if people gave me their text and a picture I could typeset them all for a future event

I love the art deco stands, and the idea of a nicely designed common format.  Thanks both for offering.  Andy, please let us know what you need in terms of photos and text.

I also like the look of your deco stands peter and would like one for my CK. They would definitely enhance the look of a static display and when we are pitted at Brooklands or Grimsthorpe castle ect.

Right then, I'll get into production, the size of the top can be sorted later on when we have a standard format.

Any thoughts on colours? I did black and silver for the mock up, but black and white, or black and gold would work equally well.

This is the one I did a while back to use at local shows.
