Hi,

Is anyone interested in meeting up at the Brooklands Relived event on 11th August.   It's the right period of motoring and if a few us are going then we could get together and have a mini builders' meet and talk cyclekarts.

Capturing the atmosphere of a Brooklands race day, the new style Brooklands Relived sees us take a step back in time to the heyday of the track.

The site will be filled with the actual cars, motorcycles and bicycles that raced here from 1907-1939. We will also be welcoming other pre-War vehicles, which will be parked up, as spectators’ vehicles would have been on race days.

There will be plenty of action on site as well, including Test Hill ascents, "Race Starts" on the restored Finishing Straight, Aircraft Fly-ins and demonstration laps around the Mercedes Benz World circuit.

Can't do that one this year, I'm tacking a holiday on ahead of The Model Boat Convention on the Bank Holiday, so that I can do Stretton.

The event starts at 10am and parking info etc is on the Brooklands Museum website.   Food and drink are available on site.  No dogs.

Well we had a fantastic day at Brooklands yesterday, really memorable. Many thanks to Stefan for arranging this, but a bigger thank you Graham and Jill, for making us so welcome and arranging concessions.
I know Stefan is working on a return visit next year and will insert details in the events calendar at the appropriate time.
In the meantime we are looking forward to seeing Graham at Stretton on 1st September.
