Well, it's now or never as I am Loaded up and ready to leave the building. I have checked my CK and it should be good to go. People with suspicious minds please Don't be cruel with the scrutineering. I have checked the post code and I'm all shook up because it's correct and not in the ghetto. Are Blue Suede shoes period?

Don’t worry Jim, you’ll be fine - just go for it.  You’ve got to follow that dream, wherever that dream may lead.

Regarding your footwear…I think I’d lay off your blue suede shoes.

Now Stefan, Don't Be Cruel we don't want any Crying In The Chapel remember there will be A Whole Lot Of Shaking Going On there will be those in attendance with Suspicious Minds but they have a Wooden Heart. They won't share The Impossible Dream but Thats All Right Mama they will end up In The Getto, being chased by a Hound Dog.
If this can't be delivered please Return To Sender
Lawdy Miss Clawdy nearly time for Brooklands, Cheers, Geoff

Well, here I am in the Station Inn in Byfleet. It's 18:55 and I have just had their bangers and mash for my tea and two pints of something a bit strong. Lovely.
It took ages to get here and the rain, oh the rain. I cannot believe there's any left up there for tomorrow
I'm off to my room now to practice tying my putees.
See you all in the morning!!!

I'm back home now and pretty knackered but WHAT A DAY!
I had a great time, can't remember when I enjoyed a day as much. I remember pinching myself to remind me that I had actually signed on and was about to drive my cyclekart, along with nine others, on part of the Brooklands circuit, in front of a very appreciative Brooklands crowd!
The crowd were amazing and I honestly think that for many, we were the highlight of their day, when all of us were sent out in the racing start section again and then again with the crowd smiling and clapping. Amazing feeling being made just as welcome as the people showing their 1930's Bentlys, the Napier Railton and Jackie Stuarts 1971 GP Tyrell and the most amazing Bugatti of Mr Duttons.
A huge thanks to Stefan and Graham for a great day out.
I'm sure that today did more to raise the awareness of Cyclekarting in the UK than we could possibly have hoped for.

A good summary of the day Adrian. I went to bed early but also woke early still buzzing !! Just to clarify it's Stefan and Graham Appleyard who deserve the thanks for yesterday. Oh how the staff giggled as I signed on as Graham Hill!

Wow, Wow, Wow, What a day. I loved it. Many Thanks to Stefan and Graham for organising it and everyone for the kindness and friendly banter that made it such fun. I love my Brooklands tie set and it will be my new safety tie for when I am doing hazardous tasks like Cyclekarting or hoovering ect. I was buzzing after the sprints and the crowd looked like they enjoyed it by the way they were waving, clapping and taking photos only inches away as we drove past. Afternoon tea in the historic drivers lounge was a nice finishing touch to the day.

Speaking as a punter, yes- the Cyclekarts really won the day! The mass starts at the end were the icing on the cake- closest thing to proper racing all day!
It was ace to meet (most) of you in the flesh as well, and finally get up close to a finished ck, to see some of the other ways to do it. I think it’s cleared some stuff up for me as to how to proceed- i need to stop inadvertently trying to build a small car, and remember to build a cyclekart instead. ;c)
Anyways, well done chaps! Brilliant work all round. We had a really fun family day out, was great fun.
Cheers!
Rich

What a day indeed! Brilliant fun and what a way to test my delage even if i have a whole lot more work to do on it. I think people really liked the diversity in vehicle of cyclekarts from Edwardian styles like Adrians to more modern takes like mine and lets hope we see some more builds starting now.

Thanks all for a brilliant day on Saturday.  We’ve had some great feedback complimenting us on our “professionalism”, paying attention to the details and our sense of fun.   Great turn out of the cars and clothing.

Thanks for driving safely, being welcoming and engaging the punters.

Rich and Steve, I’m sorry I missed you both.
Andy, good to see you there.  Your logo design looked fantastic and very much at home at Brooklands.  Thanks.

I wasn't able to get to Brooklands due to other commitments but have found and enjoyed the video on Facebook. I can see that there are a lot of skilled participants and the results of their efforts look amazing. Hopefully there will be an event nearer to me in the Midlands so that I can get to see the real things and talk to their owners. I like the idea of an electric version of a cyclekart as that reflects the way the world should be going so if ever I get around to making one it might have to be modelled on the Le Jamais Contente of Camille Jenatzy though with its high centre of gravity it might not make for a very safe CK.

Thanks for a Brilliant turn out at Brooklands,  especially when the weather was so awful.  Brooklands and the public enjoyed our displays. To hear the crowd cheer and clap when you did the racing starts was terrific. The best thing for me was when the old MD of the Museum Alan Winn (the guy driving the Napier Railton) came up to us and said thanks for coming and they were all going home to build CK,s. Graham  A.
