Don't forget your medical emergency info forms on Weds

http://www.cyclekartsgb.com/events/ice-medical-form/

I've still got ones from Bill A, Geoff M, Graham H, Jim T - these will need checking to ensure they are up to date.

The Weather isn't looking too bad for Stretton tomorrow so hopefully we won't need our sou'westers.

Just leaving in the next hour to travel down for the “gathering” on Wednesday and note the info published by the Beeeeb!
According to them our government released an online bulletin recommending people within areas, including “Leicester,” should avoid gathering indoors.
Just thought I should flag this up given Stefan’s suggested self-testing before we arrived, which I agree with and will personally comply.
Safe journey to all.

Regards

Scotty

Just by way of an update with respect to the virus. The circuit is well outside of the City of Leicester latest advice area. I have checked with the circuit this morning and their operation is not affected; they are maintaining external access to the toilet area and in this respect there is no need to enter the building. All our planned activities are outside in accordance with the current Government guidelines. It is only sensible for the group to self- distance, if individuals prefer to wear a face-mask this is encouraged. In accordance with Stefan's advice I will take a Covid self-test to ensure I am negative and I hope others decide to do the same.
Of course the virus continues to be a problem nationally and if anybody decides they do not wish to attend tomorrow it is understood.
On a positive note, Jim is correct, the weather does look much improved. Also at present it looks as though we have a good opportunity for track time in the afternoon in addition to the exclusive morning booking.

Well, what a really good day it that was with a great bunch of people. Congratulations to Graham and Lewis, the Brookland Special is super fast and Lewis made me look like I was going backwards when he overtook me. Congratulations to Adrian, a well deserved win of the Stan Cup for his contribution to the CKGB club and helpful advice. All the karts looked beautifully turned out and it was good to see some new ones. There have been some very clever ideas formulated to improve the karts over the winter and Stefans electrical connection is just one of them. It was also very nice to meet up with some new faces and have a laugh and joke, and there were loads of those all day. All in all it was a wonderfull day but the slalom was the best bit. :) :)

Hi to everybody. Thanks to all who came to Stretton on Wednesday, both drivers and visitors, the weather was kind enough to ensure we had a great day. Special thanks to Charlie, AKA Scotty, for trekking down from Aberdeen, it was great to meet you.
The results of the Maybug Medal and the 'Bucket Slalom' are attached. Sorry Jim, but your determined cull of the buckets did affect your points!
