Welcome to Nic.

Please reply to this post and share a little about yourself especially location (not your specific address though!), interest and experience in cycleKarts, any particular skills you might be happy to share...etc

Some tips:
Read the Start Here section
Choose an inspiration car
Have a look at the Events section and come along to an event
Start a build journal - it’s great for others to see your progress and for you to ask for advice

Hello all, i live in mid sussex, and am a mechanic , i have for some years played with the idea of building a cyclekart, and thought now was as good a time as any !, i have just finished building an Austin 7 special , over the last two years.

Hi Nic, Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have the skills to easily build a Cyclekart. We are having a meeting at Whilton Mill near Northampton on Oct26th and you are very welcome to come along. Do you have an inspiration car?

Hi Nic!
There’s a few of us down here in sussex, I’d be up for a local meet-up if you fancy it? Im building the White Riley, very slowly, in east grinstead. Its finally back to having 4 wheels attached after a doing load of fibreglassing over the last couple months, if you fancy coming round for a pint/chat and kicking the tyres?
 Cheers!
Rich

Evening here is a photo of my Austin 7 special which i have built over the last two years, it is baised on a 1935 ruby chassis ,i built all the Aliminum body myself and have fitted a reliant 750 engine , i was thinking of just making a smaller version of this car for my cyclekart but i quite fancy a type35 Bugatti, or i may just build a special of my own design , am still pondering on my insperation car. Yes indeed, I'm not sure what happened this year, but I reckon I'm still a year from getting it done.  However, seeing yours looking lovely and finished has just spurred me on!

Keep us posted with the build and as Rich said, you are welcome if you fancy a coffee and tyre kicking session.
