Wolseley Hornet Cyclekart
« on: 07 June 2019, 03:06:26 pm »
At 06.00 this morning I set out to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency for a Individual Vehicle Assessment of the Hornet CK.  The inspection is based on rules in a 20 odd page manual, and was due to take 4 hours. very much to my surprise it passed and is deemed to meet the standard. so now for some insurance. cheers, Geoff

Wow. Congratulations Geoff. That's obviously a first in the UK, but does anyone know if anybody, anywhere has achieved that. Well done anyway I know you have put a lot of work into it.

Well done Geoff. I don't know of anyone, anywhere who has taken that step. Most just say it can't be done.
Take a bow, you're a legend.

Well done Geoff, that's some achievement. Now where did I put the V5 for the scooter?

Edit: I know where the V5 is, I also know where the 6" speed hump is between me and the village, wouldn't fit too well with the 4" ground clearance of the Morgan.

Fantastic.  You’ve entered the annals of history!

Does that mean you can drive around the M25?  That should build some interest in cycleKarts!

I am amazed, impressed, astounded.
The attention to detail, and quality of build has been rewarded.
Congratulations.

Briliant! Will it get a 19 plate, or does it get a Q plate?

Not sure about Q plate, but it's classed as a new vehicle not a kit car made from second hand parts, so perhaps not? cheers, Geoff
