Failures to keep an eye out for.
« on: 12 February 2020, 07:25:47 pm »
Most of these I have personally seen since I started playing with them many years ago.
Centre broken out of a wheel leaving the bearing tube on the stub axle
Failure of the weld of a stub axle to vertical piece
Snapped springs
Jammed carb butterfly (stone in the linkage)
Sagged spring
Loosened spokes
Ball joint on steering failed, (prevented from being a problem by restraining washer)
Bent tie (track) rods created by steering going over centre
Broken rod end, as above.
Total brake failure, fade? unsuitable brake?

I'm sure more will come to mind as I think about it! The only thing that created a real issue was?
