Chassis steel
« on: 28 May 2019, 04:16:10 pm »
I have just ordered some 75 by 25 by 1.5, cost is £25 +VAT for 6 meters. I need more than 1 length, but does anybody want to piggy back on this. I could bring (cut to desired length) to Stretton.

That’s  Very cheap, I’ve been quoted £52 for a 6m length.  Metal supermarkets.
Can’t wait till Stretton though.

All good sources. the £25 is trumping the prices though! I guess that what this shows is that it's not a bad idea to pick up the phone and try local suppliers as well as internet trolling :)

The only reason I bought online is I couldn't get it locally, tried Adclad in Llanwrda, and Dyfed Steels, the big stockholder in Llanelli. As I needed other sections for the trailer I got over the free postage threshold.
