A pack of 5 69042RS 20mm bearings cost £5.26 from a UK supplier Bill, metric is cheaper than standard imperial, and much cheaper than a metric / imperial special. Your wheels and tyres are a similar price over here, I agree they're an affordable hobby, mine has cost me about £530, hopefully it'll come down when I sell off some of the scooter parts.

Just out of curiosity, as I was looking for tyres, I checked wheels at M&P in Swansea, came up with this:

https://www.mandp.co.uk/products/anf125-07-12-front-wheel-677071

They have a 4 bolt disc mount on the other side, as they're free post I might be able to get them cheaper by collecting them, I'm not too far from M&P.

I have picked up 4 of these Kawasaki BN123 wheels from eBay quite cheap. They are 17x1.85 rim.  Easy to mount a hub on the Disc bolt holes. I have no idea what sort of car to build round them. Any ideas are welcome.

A shiny napier railton would look great in contrast the the patena dodge. An aston martin razor blade or brooklands "nanette" would make good looking cyclekarts with obvious details to add. the napier bently is also a good looking car that i dont think anyone has made a cyclekart of yet

Nice solid choices there by Marek.
But when I looked at them I couldn't help thinking
1920's Bentley Blower.

I agree with Bill. A Bentley Blower is a classic which we dont have in the UK yet!
