Thanks Graham, if there are other people on the track in the afternoon maybe the dirt oval could be an option.
I'm told the oval is currently out of bounds, but I will bring my collection of buckets in anticipation of a slalom opportunity.

Graham,

Your friends in the NORTH calling, North of the wall that is.

Being new to club events etc, I note you intimated that you had booked the circuit from 10:00 a.m. till 13:00., so my question is, "when would you be arriving at said circuit and what time would SPIES, sorry spectators such as myself be welcome".

In addition would one need any permissions to gain access to the circuit itself and as I shall NOT be wearing my FULL HIGHLAND outfit as seen on Braveheart, despite looking like Mel Gibson ( I Wish!! ), who should I approach in order to introduce myself?

Looking forward to meeting you all and putting faces to the names.

Regards,

Scotty ( a.k.a. Charlie S )

Hi Scotty (aka Charlie).
We are looking forward to meeting any representatives of the Clans on 26th. Albeit a little disappointed that you will not be sporting the tartan. The circuit is very relaxed, the gates should be open at 8.00. The clubhouse/toilets  should be open at 9.00. I will be holding a pre-event safety meeting at 9.40. All guests hoping for a drive need to be present at the safety briefing. You are very welcome to have a drive in my CK Charlie and I'm sure you will receive additional offers. Drivers will need a helmet, overalls and gloves.
This sounds like an early start for you. ... better to have your breakfast porridge the night before!

Graham,

Thank you for your offer but my sole purpose for this trip is to steal all you Sassenach's best ideas and take them back to Scotland. Not to mention any and all bits I can legally get my hands on.
I will forgo your kind offer of a drive but would like to attend your briefings etc so I will make plans to be on site around 9:00//9:15.
Just two quick point before signing off ;_

1) Aberdeen is 500+ miles from the venue so it will be an early start, THE DAY BEFORE and

2) Porridge, well I don't get me started on that substance.

Once again looking forward to meeting up with like minded "eccentric's"

Regards,

Scotty  ( a.k.a.Charlie S )

Being the meeting in May, this event is the annual cyclekart meet meaning we have been meeting together for 2 years! I thought it deserved a poster so here is one. The art on it is from Stefan Marjoram who let us use it for this. What do you all think?

Very cool, thanks for putting that in place Graham. Are they being printed?
