The Club

Cyclekarts GB (CKGB) started informally in Sept 2018 at Stretton go-kart circuit near Leicester. A formal club was formed on 5th March 2022 to promote Cyclekarting in Great Britain and enable members to enjoy a programme of events.

Why?
CKGB exists to promote the enjoyment of designing, building, driving and improving Cyclekarts. The club is improving Cyclekarting through better events, more resources, meetings, information and sources of parts.

The Club
CKGB is a not-for-profit association governed by a constitution. It is overseen by a committee elected at an Annual General Meeting.

Who’s Who
The committee exists to serve the needs of the CKGB Members. They will help with all matters concerning the club. If you need help or advice, please contact a Committee Member. You can find the details below.

Safety
We take safety seriously and aim to do that with a light touch that’s proportionate to the risks. We have check-lists, guidance, procedures and rules that help to keep things reasonably safe. Like any motorsport, the consequences of some of the risks can be serious. We aim to minimise these and work with our insurers to help us follow good practice.

Jane incorporates many leftover parts from my workshop, my old race cars, and past projects including bits of Search & Rescue helicopters I worked on. Also some fuel cell foam from a 1989 Lotus F1, and parts from WW2 Spitfires that I worked on.
